Fire department shirts, EMS shirts, and department apparel for career and volunteer departments across North Carolina. Sew NC prints and embroiders every order in house, from station tees to fundraiser shirts.
Fire and EMS departments order apparel for many reasons at once: station tees, polos for officers and admin staff, hoodies for cold nights, and shirts for open houses, boot drives, and recruitment. Sew NC produces every order in house in Winston-Salem, starting with a digital proof so your chief or apparel committee can approve the design before production.
Your department patch or logo is reproduced in embroidery or print, and reorders are matched to your previous order, so new members and annual shirt orders stay consistent year after year.
From the engine bay to the community open house, we produce apparel that represents your department around the station and across your community.
Fire Departments
Department t-shirts, polos, hoodies, and caps for career and volunteer fire departments, with your patch or logo front and back.
EMS & Rescue Squads
EMS shirts, polos, and outerwear for ambulance services, rescue squads, and emergency communications teams.
Fundraisers & Community Events
Shirts for boot drives, open houses, memorial events, and auxiliary fundraisers that support your department.
Review a digital proof with placement, size, and colors before production. Nothing is made until you approve it.
High-tensile threads and durable inks chosen to resist fading, cracking, and wear through repeated washing.
Reference your previous order and the team matches the artwork, garments, and colors, so new members always match the rest of the crew.
Most departments order everyday apparel for members and a few extra pieces for officers, events, and fundraisers. These can all be decorated in the same order.
Station-style tees in navy, charcoal, or red with your department name or logo on the front and back.
Embroidered polos for chiefs, officers, and administrative staff at meetings, inspections, and community events.
Hoodies and jackets for cold mornings, training days, and members who want department gear off duty.
Embroidered caps and custom patch hats with your department patch, a favorite for members and fundraiser sales.
Send us your logo, the garments you want, and the quantity per size. We reply with a quote and a digital proof for your approval.
We always send a proof of each item for your final approval, and you can request changes before production begins.
Each item is embroidered or printed in house with the thread or ink colors you chose.
Once your order is produced, it ships to you anywhere in North Carolina or across the U.S.
The right method depends on the garment, how detailed your department patch is, and how many pieces each order needs.
The best fit for officer polos, jackets, and caps, where a stitched department logo should look sharp at every meeting and public event.
Ideal for detailed, full color department patches and logos, and for individual names on shirts, without extra setup for each design.
The most cost effective choice for large runs of one design, like department tees, boot drive shirts, or recruitment event shirts.

Answers to the questions chiefs, officers, and apparel committees ask most before ordering department apparel.
Yes. Most departments order two kinds of shirts: station tees and polos for members, and supporter shirts sold to the public at open houses, boot drives, and fundraisers. Many departments keep the official member design separate from the supporter design, so the department look stays reserved for the crew. Both can be produced in the same order.
Yes. Send your department patch or logo and we prepare it for production, then send a digital proof showing placement, size, and colors. Nothing is made until you approve it. Detailed, full color patches print well with DTF, and embroidery works best on polos, jackets, and caps. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG) give the cleanest results.
Yes. Individual names, unit numbers, or titles can be added to each shirt with DTF, so every piece can be different without extra setup. On polos and jackets, names and titles can be embroidered on the chest for officers and administrative staff.
The price per piece depends on the garment, the number of ink colors, print locations, and the decoration method. Setup is spread across the order, so the price per shirt drops as quantity goes up. Minimums are 12 pieces for screen printing, DTF, and embroidered caps, and 6 pieces for embroidered polos and jackets. Send us your quantities and we will quote the full cost.
Standard turnaround is two weeks after proof approval and payment, and rush production is available for an additional charge. For open houses, boot drives, or memorial events, plan for at least two weeks of production plus time to collect sizes and approve the proof.
