Custom Church Shirts for Ministries, Staff & Volunteers

Church shirts and ministry apparel for staff, choirs, youth groups, and volunteers across North Carolina. Sew NC prints and embroiders every order in house, from Sunday greeters to summer mission trips.

One Look for Every Ministry in Your Church

A church runs many ministries at once: greeters, worship team, youth group, VBS, and mission trips. Each one needs shirts on its own timeline, often with a different design but the same church logo. Sew NC produces every order in house in Winston-Salem, starting with a digital proof so ministry leaders can approve it before production.

One order can combine printed tees for VBS or youth events with embroidered polos for staff and greeters. Reorders are matched to your previous order, so next summer’s VBS or mission trip shirts are quick to set up.

Choosing the Right Decoration Method for Church Apparel

The right method depends on the garment, how many colors your church logo uses, and how many shirts each ministry needs.

High-Density Embroidery

The best fit for staff polos, greeter shirts, jackets, and caps, where a stitched church logo should look polished every Sunday.

Direct-to-Film (DTF) Transfers

Ideal for full color designs, detailed VBS artwork, and individual names for youth leaders or mission team members, without extra setup for each design.

Heavy-Duty Screen Printing

The most cost effective choice for large runs of one design, like VBS shirts, youth camp tees, or church-wide event shirts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions pastors, ministry leaders, and church staff ask most before ordering custom shirts.

What should church staff and volunteers wear?

Most churches keep it simple: embroidered polos for staff, greeters, and ushers, and matching volunteer shirts in a bright color for serve teams, so visitors know who to ask for help. Ministries like youth group, worship team, or VBS often get their own shirt design with the same church logo, so every team is recognizable while the church still looks unified.

Start with your church’s own colors, so the shirts match your logo and signage. Light shirts like sky blue, gray, or white work well with dark ink, and darker shirts like navy or charcoal look best with white or light ink. For VBS and youth events, bright colors like yellow, lime, or orange make kids and leaders easy to spot in a crowd.

Yes. Send your church logo or ministry artwork and we prepare it for production, then send a digital proof showing placement, size, and colors. Nothing is printed until you approve it. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG) give the cleanest results, and a high resolution PNG works for DTF printing. If you only have a low resolution logo, send it anyway and we will review it.

Standard turnaround is two weeks after proof approval and payment, and rush production is available for an additional charge. For VBS, camps, and mission trips, plan for at least two weeks of production plus time to collect sizes, approve the quote, and sign off on the proof. Ordering about a month ahead keeps the whole team on schedule.

The price per shirt depends on the garment, the number of ink colors, print locations, and the decoration method. Setup is spread across the order, so the price per shirt drops as quantity goes up. Minimums are 12 pieces for screen printing, DTF, and embroidered caps, and 6 pieces for embroidered polos and jackets. Send us your quantities and we will quote the full cost.
